IN 2018, KATHERINE FUSED HER PASSION FOR INGREDIENT-CONSCIOUS PRODUCTS WITH AN ELEVATED BOUTIQUE EXPERIENCE, CREATING A LUXURY-DRIVEN SERVICE THAT'S REDEFINING OLD NARRATIVES OF THE TANNING INDUSTRY. THE RESULT? MIX WAS BORN.
Meet the Founder
Katherine Whelan is a Master Trainer and industry mentor whose journey began in her University of Toronto dorm room, where she performed her first spray tans. In 2018, she recognized a need in the Toronto market for customizable and expertly applied tans.
In 2021, Katherine opened the original Toronto Tans boutique in downtown Toronto, where clients still enjoy the magic of personalized spray tanning. As founder, she empowers women through elevated, experiential custom tanning.
With a commitment to excellence, Katherine has educated over 500 talented students globally. Today, she focuses on product development and mentorship, helping aspiring beauty entrepreneurs thrive and inspiring confidence in every individual she meets.
